SUMMERTIME

This dainty envelope bag was created entirely to show off the gorgeous Murano-glass beaded fringe actually bought in Venice, with its summer-flower motif. The body of the bag is stiffened and fully lined blue cotton, covered in a variegated hand-dyed raffia crocheted in an openwork-pattern in colors that pick up those in the beading (the raffia, serendipitously, was found on the same trip in a little yarn shop on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy).

SIZE: Bag body is eight inches wide by five inches high.
